Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPfriendship

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

This weekend, the goal is to take photos and videos that capture the many aspects of friendship. Here are a few tips to get you started:

• Consider the different ways that friendship can be represented — not just through photos of friends themselves, but how relationships manifest in objects and actions. Take a photo of a thoughtful gift you were given, or a Hyperlapse of a helpful friend painting your kitchen with you.
• Show friends coming together, from gathering around the dinner table for a shared meal to a pickup soccer game.
• Keep an eye out for surprising or unlikely friendships: a dog and a cat snoozing together in a sunspot, a vine reaching out for a neighboring tree or a child embracing her new toy.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPfriendship hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
