Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPsparkle

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

This weekend, the goal is to let shining, sparkling light catch your eye. Here are some tips to get you started:

• Look for pops of light against a dark background — fireworks, sparklers and bonfires included. Don’t forget to check out what the light is touching, as well as the light itself.
• Focus on the shine of different surfaces and textures, whether you’re in a building made of glass or on the shores of a lake watching the sunset sparkle off the water.
• Use Boomerangs or videos to capture the movement of a sparkle as it bounces around a room.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPsparkle hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
