“A day without seeing any books is a sad day for me,” says Emilie (@emiibook), a 21-year-old French student and bibliophile. After discovering her passion for reading just a few years ago in — where else? — a bookstore, Emilie was hooked. “What I love about books is that they transport you to another world,” says Emilie. “You can live an extraordinary experience all while laying on your couch. I am never the same after reading a book.”
Whenever she finishes a new tome, Emilie creates a photo inspired by the story, highlighting her favorite parts and using props like stamps, postcards, paint, plants and dolls. “I have a whole world in my head and I try to express it through my photos.”
