iPhone 8 Photos Leak - Where's Touch ID?

Leaked images show the iPhone 8 front and back panels

A couple of leaks have emerged with photos of the iPhone 8; both the front panel and the back have been pictured separately.

Coming via Slashleaks, the face-on shots are of the assembled iPhone 8 display and front panel; it's not attached to the rear panel though so we don't get a full look at the design. What we can see, however, is the four circular cut-outs at the top seen also on a previous leak; it's believed one of these is for the front-facing camera, while several of the remaining three could be for an Iris sensor and/or possibly a 3D laser face scanner.

We can also see that there is no sign of a Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the front. At the moment all rumour sources are pointing to the in-screen, under-glass fingerprint scanner being a no-go, meaning it's either on the back, inside the side-mounted power key, or has been ditched entirely in favour of face or iris scan tech.

The rear panel is shown in a different photo, this one from Chinese social media sources. It's allegedly from inside a Foxconn facility and you can see the Foxconn branded box open with a number of rear panels inside. It's a little blurry, but we can just about make out what looks like a vertical dual-camera sensor array, a cut-out for the Apple logo, and a circular cut-out below that which may or may not be for the Touch ID scanner, if it is indeed making its way into the iPhone 8.
