BlackBerry releases September security update for its Android phones

After Nokia, Google, and most recently Sony, it's BlackBerry's turn to push out the latest security update to its Android smartphones. The update bumps the security patch level to September 5. Usually, BlackBerry's vulnerability management team BBSIRT announces the roll out of monthly security updates through their Twitter account, but this time the news comes courtesy of a new post on the company's online Knowledge Base.
