I had no expectations going on, but the service iSmash provided was exemplary, so I decided to write a post about them. I used the store in London, which is where I am based.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, a rare thing indeed in London, and took their time when ascertaining my issue and the best possible way to remedy it.
Basically, I dropped my Huawei P9 and smashed its face in good and proper. The handset still worked but it looked like a truck had driven over it. I persisted with the cracked display for a few days and then, on my way to work, ducked into iSmash to see if they could fix it.
As I said, I had zero expectations going in – you see shops like these all over London. I was expecting a high-price and not much else. But no sooner had I entered to store, I knew I was in for something a little different.
You see, iSmash takes itself very seriously. The company is focused on developing a brand and it is going about doing this through excellent customer service, tidy, well-designed stores, and thoughtful and considerate staff.
iSmash Review – How Long?
I walked in off the street with no appointment booked and the guys at iSmash had my phone fixed within the hour. It cost £99 and the phone looked brand new.
It is now three weeks since I had my phone fixed by iSmash and it is still working just fine. The booking process, if you want to book, is super-simple as well (you can do it online) and this means you can fit it in during your lunch break or around a meeting.
Once you’re booked in, the staff at iSmash will tell you exactly what they’re going to do, how much it will cost, and what to expect once the work is complete.
And the reason for all this awesome service? Simple, iSmash wants to be the first thing people think of when they crack their phone’s display – and they’re going about it in just the right way too. Word of mouth and excellent customer service are basically the cornerstone of any business such as this.
I mean, I walked out so satisfied that I actually sat down to write an article about them.
While I was there, I asked the store manager a few questions about the business and what its goals were for the future. According to the guy in the store, the top three models they repair on a regular basis are:
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 6s
- iPhone 7
iSmash will have a total of 28 stores across the UK by the close of 2017, with hubs in major cities like London, Manchester, Sheffield and Bristol. By 2019, it’s aiming to have over 50+ locations up and running.
The bottom line is, if you crack your phone’s screen, and you don’t want to mail it off somewhere, get down to iSmash and let them fix it – it only takes 60 minutes and the prices are very competitive as well.
