Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.
Light, camera, action! This weekend, the goal is to take photos and videos that showcase light in beautiful and diverse ways, as in this featured photo from Nadia (@laporterouge). Here are some tips to get you started:
- Light transforms ordinary scenes into extraordinary ones. Take a photo of the morning light as it pours into your kitchen, or during a sunset stroll.
- Have an outdoor portrait session with a friend. Try going during the golden hour, or find a perfectly and naturally illuminated wall to use as your backdrop.
- Play with time and light together by photographing the same subject in the morning, afternoon and evening. Use multi-post to show how the light changes the scene throughout the day.
PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPfindthelight hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
