If you’re in the market for a new phone, and value for money is important to you, there really is only one game in town right now.
That phone is the OnePlus 6, a super-powered Android phone with a brilliant camera that retails for around half the price of Apple’s new iPhone XS.
In my OnePlus 6 review, I called it the best smartphone of 2018.
A lofty statement, for sure; but a true statement all the same. All things considered, nothing comes close to this phone.
Why The OnePlus 6 is The Best Smartphone of 2018
The main reason is simple: price – at £469 SIM-free it offers unbeatable value for money.
Another reason? Specs – it has better specs than Apple’s iPhone X, with masses of RAM, tons of storage, a brilliant display, great overall design, and beautifully implemented software.
I’ve been using the OnePlus 6 24/7 ever since I received one for review. I’ve had other phones come across my desk, but I always go back to the OnePlus 6.
And the reason is simple: it just works, and it has a seriously good camera on it.
OnePlus 6 Battery Life
Another big USP of the OnePlus 6 is its battery life; the phone can go a solid 1.5 to 2 days with moderate usage. In this respect, it destroys the iPhone X and nearly all of its Android brethren.
But the main thing is the price; OnePlus has undercut EVERYBODY and it’s done it without cutting any perceptible corners.
The design of the phone is stunning, ditto its build materials.
The display is detailed and bright, and it has the same – if not better – specs than its nearest Android rivals, the Google Pixel 2 XL and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (both of which cost a lot more too).
Why You’d Buy The OnePlus 6?
Simple: value for money. If you value this, the OnePlus 6 is the phone for you – nothing else comes even remotely close to this handset in this context.
Put it in this context: you could buy two OnePlus 6 phones for the price of a single iPhone XS.
Is the iPhone XS twice the phone? Not at all. Matter of fact, given the choice I wouldn’t swap my OnePlus for an iPhone XS. No way.
It does everything right and ticks all my boxes: design, great battery life, excellent camera, fast updates, good-looking software.
If that’s your bag as well, you’re in very good hands with the OnePlus 6 which you can pick up direct from OnePlus for £429.
