Case maker Olixar reveals the goods

Following weeks of rumours, we've finally got our first proper look at the Samsung Galaxy S10, courtesy of case maker Olixar (thanks, Mobile Fun).

The company has issued a series of images showing off its case designs for the Galaxy S10 range, and these naturally show the phone itself in all its glory.

The first big news is that the Galaxy S10 comes in three different sizes: Lite, standard and Plus, which is a change from the typical pair of variants Samsung usually releases. The Lite has a 5.8-inch screen while the Plus has a 6.4-inch display. The standard S10 sits in the middle, with a 6.1-inch panel. All of these will presumably use Super AMOLED technology.

Taking of screens, the renders clearly show that Samsung has opted for the 'Infinity O' design that was previously revealed for the Galaxy A8s – also known as the 'hole punch' screen. The Plus model appears to have not one but two front-facing cameras, which would suggest that Samsung is taking a page out of Google's book by including a wide-angle selfie cam.

Here's the Galaxy S10 Lite:

And here's the Galaxy S10, which looks very similar:

However, the Galaxy S10 Plus has a slightly different design:

Around the back, Samsung has given the phones a horizontal multi-cam setup; the Lite and standard models have three cameras while the Plus benefits from an extra snapper – possibly for optical zoom. The heart rate monitor has been retained, as has the 3.5mm headphone socket, which has been removed from practically every other 2018 flagship smartphone.

The final piece of info involves the fingerprint scanner – or rather, the lack of any visible one on these renders. That would suggest that Samsung has either used an in-screen scanner – a feature already available on some Chinese handsets – or has followed the Apple route the gone for a face unlock system. The smart money is on the former, as that single camera on the Lite and standard models wouldn't be able to do all of the complex 3D mapping that Apple's phones use for Face ID.

So there you have it; Samsung's biggest smartphone launch of 2019 is leaked early. What do you make these designs? Will you be opting for the Lite or the Plus?
