The New Nexus 7 2013's 4G LTE may not be supported in the UK as spec sheet is updated

The new Nexus 7 2013 edition's spec sheet has been tweaked and 4G bands for Europe removed.

According to Android Police, the spec listing on Google's website doesn't say anything about 4G bands it supports in Europe. In contrast, it clearly sets out which 4G bands are supported in the US.

The Nexus 7 will support UK HSPA+ bands 1/2/4/5/8, meaning it'll probably be rolling out on networks, but just without high-speed data.

This comes as a disappoinment, with most UK networks planning to roll out 4G before the year is out. Currently, only EE offers 4G in the UK, but the extra speeds comes at a price premium.

The Nexus 7 2013 is up for pre-order at PC World, eBuyer, Currys, Amazon and Game for between £199.98 and £297.99. The shipping dates also vary, with some retailers quoting July 29 as the day it will be shipped (there's no sign of any units beign sent to pre-orders though), up to August 29.

The new Nexus 7 launched last week and features a revamped spec. There's a 7-inch, 1920x1200 pixel screen, 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064 with Adreno 320 GPU, 5.0-megapixel rear-facing camera, with a 1.2-megapixel snapper on the front and either 16GB or 32GB onboard storage.

The Nexus 7 2013 also ships with Android 4.3 onboard, which introduces a couple of new features including Bluetooth Low Energy support, Restricted Profiles, OpenGL ES 3.0, notification access for developers and a modular DRM framework.

The Android 4.3 update has started rolling out to a number of Google-branded devices including the 2012 edition Nexus 7 and Nexus 4, but some users are reporting they still haven't received the update.
