The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor has officially launched on China Mobile.
The Note 2 Snapdragon 600 edition has the model number N7108D and is virtually identical to the original Exynos 4412 quad-core device.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features a 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen and S Pen functionality,
Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 CPU adds support for a wider range of networks, including TD-LTE, FDD-LTE and TD-SCDMA alongside regular WCDMA and GSM according to GSMArena.
'The new quad-core Krait 300 CPU wipes the floor with the old quad-core Cortex-A9 as does the Adreno 320 GPU with the Mali-400. According to benchmarks (there's no official word) the CPU is clocked at 1.9GHz and there's 2GB RAM,' said GSMArena.
We don't expect to see the Note 2 Snapdragon 600 hitting the UK, ever, so instead we'll have to wait until the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 hits in September.
The updated phablet is said to feature a larger screen, although Samsung may launch the Galaxy Note 3 in three sizes: 5.5-inch, 5.7-inch and 6-inch.
