Another set of pictures has leaked for the Sony Xperia i1 Honami, but this time they look like official press shots.
The images only show the front of the device and do match leaked photos we saw last week. What’s also of significance is that these pictures were allegedly taken from a system dump from an Xperia i1 Honami device. A similar system dump posted on XperiaBlog has also revealed images of the updated Sony Android interface.

The interface doesn’t appear to have changed too much overall, although the clock, calendar, calculator and contacts apps have all been tweaked slightly and there’s a new keyboard.
The system dump also appears to confirm rumoured specs for the handset, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor which we’ve seen launched inside the Xperia Z Ultra phablet.
The Xperia i1 Honami will also pack a 20-megapixel camera sensor capable of recording 4K Ultra HD video (4000x2000 pixels) – previously rumoured specs cited a ‘13/20-megapixel’ Exmor RS sensor suggesting sources couldn’t be sure how it was rated, so it’s good to hear it’s on the higher-end of the scale.
As per earlier rumours the Xperia i1 Honami is expected to pack CyberShot features and a Xenon flash.
The Xperia i1 Honami is also thought to be a more manageable size than the hefty 6.44-inch Xperia Z Ultra with a 5-inch Triluminos Full HD 1080p display powered by Sony’s X-Reality engine. As well as having a sky-high pixel density for sharp visual clarity this setup should have exceptional colour quality, brightness and contrast.
It’s not known when Sony will launch the Xperia i1 Honami but the company does have an event lined up in Paris for July 4. As the occurrence of leaks continues to escalate we probably don’t have too long to wait.
