The iPhone 6 and iPad Mini 2 will be coming in the first half of 2014 according to one Citi analyst.
Glen Yeung said to investors the iPhone 6 would arrive in the first half of 2014, while the iPad Mini 2 would come in the first quarter of 2014, with a Retina display.
Yeung referred back to an earlier note that said the iPad Mini 2 was likely to arrive in late 2013 or early 2014, reports CNET.
'In our 6/7/13 note, we first indicated that the iPad Mini with Retina display was likely pushed out until late 2013 or early 2014. Despite some recent investor discussion that it may be pulled forward, our Asia team continues to agree with our opinion that iPad Mini Retina is unlikely to be pulled forward. We therefore continue to believe that Apple's 2H13 [second half 2013] iPad lineup will be iPad5 (reduced weight, slimmer bezel, thinner design), iPad Mini (the existing model), and a reduced price iPad Mini (likely priced at $249).'
There's been a lot of conflicting reports about whether the iPad Mini 2 would feature a Retina display or whether it would stick to the same 1024x768 pixel resolution as the first-generation iPad Mini.
Much of this conflict has been based around whether enough Retina displays can be manufactured in the time frame Apple has set its suppliers, although it's thought Samsung will be producing the displays.
The iPhone 6 will probably launch after the iWatch in the first half of 2014.
Yeung said, 'Looking Ahead to iPhone 6/iWatch - As we have written in the past, we expect Apple to launch a larger-screen version of iPhone (dubbed iPhone 6) in 1H14 [first half 2014]. We also anticipate the launch of iWatch, possibly in 2H13.'
