Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPreflectagram

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.

The goal this weekend is to capture photos and videos with beautiful and interesting reflections. Some tips to get you started:

• Look for naturally reflective surfaces like ponds and windows, but keep an eye out for subtle reflections in wet sand or puddles. Don’t be afraid to bring a bucket of water and create your own!


• Play with rotating your photo for an unexpected twist that puts the reflection on top.


• Pay special attention to how you frame the photo or video—stand far away to show both the entire subject and its reflection or crop in closer for a more unique take.
