Either red is just on trend, as they say, or it has something to do with the festive season; first OnePlus announces the Lava Red OnePlus 5T and now Samsung has revealed a Burgundy Red Samsung Galaxy S8.
Samsung took to its official blog to reveal the new colour model, announcing that it will be available in its home region of South Korea first, but will subsequently rollout to other markets in the coming weeks. Samsung wouldn't reveal just which markets are being lined up, unfortunately, so we're not quite sure what to expect at this point.
We are thinking it will likley be exclusive to certain network carriers though, as Samsung did say that availability, pricing, and other details will be announced by carrier networks in each territory that it will become available in, it did also mention regional Samsung offices, however, so that could imply it will be available SIM-free and unlocked in some places.
We suspect it's only a matter of time before the Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 get the same colour option too.
